Candice E. Tylke Emergency Services Scholarship

This scholarship is in memory of Candice E. Tylke. Candice was a 10-year veteran fire fighter and paramedic for the City of Beloit. She also worked in St. Francis in Milwaukee. She was a longtime member of the International Association of Fire Fighters and International Association of Flight Paramedics. In addition, she had experience as a flight paramedic with Wausau MedEvac and is believed to have been the first female enrolled in the college’s fire science program. Candice enjoyed the outdoors and was a very active person. She was a positive influence to all who knew her. Candice passed away July 26, 2008 in Madison, WI at age 42. This scholarship is available for full-time Emergency Services students with a grade point average of 2.5 and higher.
