Beth Jefferson ‘Women in Firefighting’ Scholarship
The Beth Jefferson Women in Firefighting Scholarship is awarded twice a year to individuals looking for a career in firefighting. The scholarship will be awarded on merit and MUST be awarded to a female or racial/ethnic minority candidate, looking to join the firefighting industry. The brave first responders have a special calling, that allows them to put others before themselves while serving our communities. This scholarship will provide a worthy candidate the opportunity to be trained to serve this cause. Jefferson Fire & Safety is a 4th generation, female owned and operated business, looking to promote females in the fire service industry. Jefferson Fire is a supplier of fire fighter gear and this scholarship may include a basic set of turnout gear to the candidate. Scholarship may also provide candidate the opportunity to participate in ‘in-house’ trainings if qualified.
